Stud Principal Bob Frappell with Group 1 winning 2YO Outback Prince
Clear Mountain Fairview is showcasing their draft for the 2010 Magic Millions QTIS 600 yearling sale on Sunday March 7 to introduce their outstanding group of yearlings for inspection.

The draft includes the first crop of yearlings by Group 1 winning two-year-old in Outback Prince alongside with progeny by Zaha, Tycoon Ruler and Falvelon, all of which have been well represented on the track and in the winner’s circle.

The showcase event is a specialised day for thoroughbred enthusiasts to inspect the yearlings at their leisure before the auction on March 21 and 22 to alleviate the last minute rush on sale day.
"They're a very nice draft of yearlings and we want to give trainers the opportunity to look at them without the pressure on sale day and the limited time they have there," said Clear Mountain Fairview Principal, Bob Frappell.
Frappell says he's not trying to get an edge over the other studs, he simply wants to provide a more relaxed atmosphere for potential buyers.
"QTIS 600 has a good quality catalogue with lots of nice horses, so buyers will need the time to inspect to develop their shortlist," he said.
"There are only 462 yearlings in the catalogue and most Queensland studs have saved their best horses for this event. We certainly have."
Amongst the Clear Mountain Fairview draft is lot 224, a colt by Outback Prince and out of the dam Gudwill, who produced the current QTIS 600 series cinderella story in Tough Luck.
Tough Luck, by stud sire Zaha, has collected over $250,000 in prizemoney in just eight starts.
This extraordinary filly is both QTIS 600 and Magic Millions qualified and both of these series bonuses have certainly paid dividends for connections.
“We have now seen the QTIS 600 race series in full flight since commencing in September and the financial rewards are magnificent,” Frappell said.
“For a filly to collect over a quarter of a million in prizemoney and a majority of the winner’s cheques in bonuses is incredible and a credit to the race series.”
There are 17 yearlings in total for Clear Mountain Fairview but Frappell is confident that "people will find a soft spot for all of the yearlings we have."
